Mom, Me & Sara
My mom is my inspiration, she can make something of nothing. She is the reason I have such a hard time throwing anything away, I always think…I could make something out of this….so I keep it. Sara, my beautiful daughter has been the target of my labor of love for 20 years. When she was about 10 she wanted me to teach her to sew, I was thrilled! We started with a simple pattern she selected. I sat her down to cut out the pattern… she got quickly board with cutting and said to me, “I wanted to learn to sew, not cut” and that was the end of that. I learned how NOT teach teach and inspire kids, really to be most creative no pattern is necessary.

Crystals can get expensive. A company out of NY called Kandi Corp has some that are afford
able.

Sorry, I think I told you wrong. I am looking for the polyacrylamide granules that go inside the cool scarfs

You can make a good cooling scarf with an ordinary handkerchief, and the same absorbent crystals that gardeners use. I’ve gotten gel crystals at gardeners.com and from local shops.
There’s a good image here:
